Do I need to book a table in advance?

You're welcome to visit without a reservation, but Afternoon Tea must always be booked in advance through our booking system. Larger groups are also advised to reserve a table in advance by email: info@cafeqwensel.fi

 

 

Can I visit the café without a museum ticket?

 

Yes, Cafe Qwensel is located in the courtyard of the Pharmacy Museum, but you don't need a museum ticket to visit the café.

Is Cafe Qwensel open year-round?

Yes, we're open all year, Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Any exceptions are announced on our social media channels.

Do you offer gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan pastries, and our Afternoon Tea is also available in a vegan version.

Are pets welcome at the café?

Yes, we warmly welcome furry friends too.

Is the café suitable for families with children?

Absolutely, both adults and children feel right at home here. The café has a few high chairs available, and out in the courtyard, kids will love the Children's Pharmacy run by the Pharmacy Museum. Please tidy up after your visit to the Children's Pharmacy!

 

 

Is the café accessible?

Yes! The café can be reached step-free from the riverside. Inside, there's a ramp leading into the café.

 

 

Can I book the café for a private event?

 

Yes, we rent out the café space for private events. Please get in touch by email to find out more.

 

 

Can I buy a gift card online?

 

Yes, gift cards can be purchased directly through our website.

 

 

How do I find Cafe Qwensel?

 

While the Linnankatu side is under renovation, the entrance is only accessible from the riverside, at Läntinen Rantakatu 13B. Enter through the gate on the left side of the Pharmacy Museum and turn right once through the gateway. The café is on the left in the courtyard.

 

 

Do the café's products and Afternoon Tea selections change with the seasons?

 

Yes, our entire menu always changes according to the season.
